Boy Diaries

I want to start by writing that I truly love when men don't give a care and dance. Even if they are not dancing with me, but they are in the middle of the dance floor is always so amazing to watch them move their body to the song. I always find it very cool when I am dancing with my friends and look around and I see guys dancing. I know what many of you might be thinking that perhaps they had a few drinks in and feel the courage to dance.
To all the ladies who enjoy reading this blog please encourage your guy friends that we love it when guys are not afraid to show their closet dance moves on the actual dance floor at Punky Reggae Night or Part Time Punks.

"Heart Shape Disco Ball"

I am happily to let everyone know that my poem, "Heart Shape Disco Ball" was chosen for a Valentine Zine that will be published next year. This is my first time submitting a poem for a publication and getting chosen. I can't believe it. I can't wait to receive a copy of the publication.

I am going to share my poem with all of you:

"Heart Shape Disco Ball"

You made my heart spin like a disco ball,

that one night at La Cita for Punky Reggae,
dancing to that Joy Division song, “Transmission.”

Our bodies moving freely to the beat of bass lines,
guitar riffs, and drums,
synchronize with the singers voice singing,
“Dance, Dance, Dance to the radio.”

I felt like Cinderella at the ball,
dancing with Prince Charming for one night only,
when the clock struck 2:00 a.m closing time at the bar,
I left with only knowing your first name,
 Daniel.
