I have been waiting for an opportunity to read mis poemas for a larger audience. This week mi amiga Patty text me to tell me that this event called "Grrl Fair" was looking for Spoken Word Artists for their March 12th event. She suggested that I email them that I was interested to be part of the event. The sweet thing is that I got a reply back from the organizers that they wanted me to send them samples of my work. (I was a bit nervous because this was my first actual review). I waited for two days for a reply. I checked my email and nothing. I am pretty sure everyone has gone through the experience of sending something that is truly important to you and not knowing how it will get received on the other end.
I am happy to inform everyone that I got the coolest email on Saturday stating that the "Grrl Fair" will love to have me read for their event on March 12. I felt so happy like I was in the biggest cloud...I am looking forward to sharing mis poemas.
