Rainy Day Adventures..

I was hanging out with my friend yesterday..We went to the Regel Theater in Downtown LA. We had already made plans a week before that we wanted to see "Youth In Revolt."
Even though we both knew that the news had been saying that there was going to rain all this week... The nice Sunday greyness fooled me. I was in hopes that it would rain in the evening. I only took my purple sweater and my vest. I didn't even take an umbrella...
We got screwed so badly when we came out of the movies...The rain was pouring...We kept laughing as we crossed the street as the rain poured, but the nice thing was that there was no puddles yet. My friend decides that we should go to "Amoeba" to buy some records...The rain kept pouring and we continued to talk about anything that was on our minds...We get to "Amoeba" but the lot is full in the underground parking...(bummer) So we end up in the public parking area...When we get off the jeep we find some stairs and we go down..We end up in the back side of an unknown street..We are trying to figure out which way to go..The rain kept pouring and my friend was afraid that her hair was going to get puffy...I didn't even think of my hair and how funny my bangs get when they are wet...The good thing is that my friend says that we shouldn't go on Vine street walking, because that would be wroooooong...So we decide to go the other direction...The rain was falling harder when this guy at the parking structure tells us if we had a quarter and he was holding one of those cute little doggies with a red t-shirt on..I searched my pockets and I had no quarter the good thing my friend had one and she handed to the muscle guy with the orange t-shirt...And he told us that he didn't need the quarter he was only trying to see who would be kind enough to give him a quarter and we were nice to do so...He gave my friend his published book..and he rambled on about it...And I was like this is a freakin sign...so I asked the guy how did he managed to publish his book and get it edit...(Because I'm looking for a copy editor)... He was like get "High School English Teachers" to look at it...What a great idea, but the catch was that he dated the English Teachers...so I'm screwed...That was a sign that I must get my book out there...ha, ha

No Journal Entries just Ideas..

Hey Everyone and Welcome to "Tales of a Mediocre Life!"

I'm excited to embark on this new adventure of blogging... I have left behind for a bit "Thread and Needles." I'm in hopes of getting back into sewing this year... There's many tales to tell for this month...(ha, ha)...

First of all, you might be asking yourselves why did I decide to call this blog "Tales of a Mediocre Life," I'll tell you that it was a funny thing that was mentioned to me by my brother when I was trying to find titles for my yet unpublished "YA" novel... He kept throwing random things and then as a joke he tells me this title... I thought about it, but it wasn't a fit for my novel. As I was driving home from work yesterday I started to think about this blog post. I don't write that often and what is the point I'm trying to make for having it... I didn't want this blog to go to waste... I also realized that not everyone is going to be a celebrity and that everyone has sorta of a mundane life...that makes us happy...and works for us.

Every year I start a new journal that I like to write all my wicked fun adventures through out the year, but I have decided that this year I will not have a journal that I'm going to pour my little heart too, but instead it will be a journal of ideas for the month. I've been wanting to be a writer for two years now! I'm in hopes of getting my first novel published this year and I would like to think that I have a fun story to tell and by writing this blog it will be a cool exercise for my writing skills..ha, ha

1968 Mustang...

When I was 15 I saw this cool girl driving a red 1965 Mustang. I was in line waiting to got to my first rock en espanol concert, at the Palace. I went to see Mana, because I was sooo obsessed with their keyboard player Ivan...Ever since that day I always knew that I wanted to own a Mustang especially a Vintage one...I wasn't able to find a 1965 Mustang in good condition so I opted in getting a 1968 one.. It's been fun owning the car, but now I have to part ways with it. It was my weekend job to fix it with my dad...Yes a girl trying to fix a piece of history...But after a lot of thought I have decided to sell the beautiful car... I can't afford to fix it anymore...It still runs sweetly and I always got boys trying to buy it from me..I always said "No," because the interior needs some fixing...I can't hold on to a little piece of history anymore and now it has a for sale sign on it...

One More Time...

I'm feeling a bit like a stranger to my own blog post..(he, he)...It's been a loooong time I know...I've realized for once how technology is so important to our daily lives...I haven't had access to a computer for a weeek...(I hate using other people's personal computers and even public one's for my own use.) I just want to have a computer at home so I can sit down in my favorite chair and navigate the internet. When you are in public places I feel like I am rushed to do what I have to do and there's a timer next to the screen...That makes it even worst...Technology is beautiful when you are able to have it in the privacy of your own home...It's funny how I have internet and not a computer and the only time I am able to check anything is when my brother is kool enough to lend me the laptop...That is kinda ours...

I've been watching a lot of T.v. lately...it feels like the whole week is booked by tv shows that I have come to enjoy...I think I am cheating on technology when I'm watching tv....But if I have to recommend some shows..here are my top choices...

1. Castle (I freakiiiin luv the writer storyline)
2. How I met Your Mother ( So funny)
3. So You Think You Can Dance (I secretly want to learn to dance contemporary.)
4. Glee (High School drama)

Fall Fall Fall!

I can't wait for "Fall"...Summer has been fun...But it is time for some breezy weather and leaves falling...I'm truly excited. It's been quite a busy summer trying to get back into the rhythm of writing once again. I had been lacking a bit of inspiration to finish my novel. Hopefully I could finish in a couple of weeks. The ideas are starting to flow once more...and it's a good escapism...I can't wait to share the novel...It has gone through some title changes..and I think for now I would title it "Every You, Every Me"...I've been listening lately to old skool songs from the band Placebo...and one of their songs is titled that way...and it is pretty neat because I think that song carries the momentum of the story....Hopefully the next time I write is because I have some new written chapters of my book...

New Beginnings

My novel writing has been on hold...for these couple of days...My computer's hardware gave up on me...(yes, amiguitos y amiguitas it died) and for my luck I can't get it fixed because the warranty expired last year...everything is a bit loooooost...I technically cannot afford a new one at the present time...and if I take it to a shop...it's gonna cost toooo much..I think I'm gonna have to take out the typewriter...(old skool)..I'll continue figuring out ways to write my novel and complete it before the summer ends...

Paso El Tiempo...

I truly like listening to music...but today I can't stop listening to that song from "Belanova" Denisse has such a sweeeeet voice...The song "Paso El Tiempo" is so nice....It is so dancyy but the lyrics are so deep....I hadn't quite payed much attention to it, until today...I just want to crank up the volume and dance around the house...I might do that before I go to work tomorrow morning...like that I can be more energized that it is Monday...
The lines that get to me is:

"Como, cuando y donde te fui perdiendo."
